Health Services, Harmony Gold Mining Ltd,

JTAI undertook a scoping study of Harmony's health service requirements and Harmony has since contracted us to provide a range of health services, including: support for Harmony's Injured Worker Program; a review of Harmony's existing emergency protocols; clinical assessments of existing PNG health services that support Harmony's workforce requirements; support for the development of on-mine-site clinical services, and; the development of Harmony's HIV/AIDS PNG Company Strategy.

North Fly District Integrated Health Service-
Ok Tedi Mining Limited, PNG (2006-Ongoing)

OTML engaged JTAI to undertake a feasibility study for an Integrated Health Service in the North Fly District of Western Province. JTAI conducted a situational analysis of existing health services and worked with stakeholders to prepare a sustainable Integrated Health Services Development Model for the North Fly District. The model is designed to strengthen Public-Private Partnerships and improve health services provided.

World AIDS Day - Wau Health Clinic Refurbishment,
Harmony Gold Mining Ltd, PNG (2006)

Harmony Gold sponsored improvements to the Wau Health Centre, Morobe Province, as part of World AIDS Day 2006. JTAI facilitated the health centre's upgrade, strengthening of health services provided and managed World AIDS Day activities. The day's activities included the official opening of a HIV/AIDS Voluntary Testing and Counselling Room and installation of condom vending machines. A football game was held and health promotion stalls provided HIV/AIDS education and awareness materials for the community and mine employees.

Review, HIV/AIDS Programs, Porgera JV Mining Ltd,
PNG (2006)

Porgera JV contracted JTAI to undertake a rapid assessment of the Mine's HIV/AIDS programs in Enga Province. JTAI provided Porgera JV with a framework for a "blue-chip" response to HIV/AIDS, incorporating: Management strategies; Workplace HIV/AIDS program; External outreach response, and; Measuring and monitoring an HIV/AIDS response.

Hospital Management and Environmental and Public Health Services, Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI), (2004-2007)
JTAI provides hospital management and environmental and public health services to the RAMSI personnel based in Honiara and outer islands.

Hospital Management and Redevelopment, Ok Tedi Mining Ltd, PNG, (2004-2007)
JTA International provides expatriate clinical services and hospital management for the Tabubil Hospital which services mine employees and surrounding communities. JTA International has also overseen the design and implementation of substantial redevelopments to the hospital, including construction and refurbishment and identification and procurement of medical equipment.
JTA International has also been working with OTML is the strengthening of its public health programs, including HIV/AIDs, sexually transmitted infections, tuberculosis and malaria. JTA International also oversees the vector control program for Tabubil.
